Role Overview:
Supports tutors directly by providing guidance, feedback, and performance monitoring to ensure high quality tutoring sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentor and support tutors
Monitor tutor performance and satisfaction
Coordinate tutor student reassignments with program leadership
Interact with parents through email.
Time Commitment: 8 to 10 hours per week
Role Overview:
A support and succession planning role, ideal for students interested in leadership but still building confidence. Works closely with the Executive Director and/or Tutor Lead(s) to keep leadership operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Support leadership team with coordination and follow ups
Ensure leaders have resources needed to succeed
Help keep leadership tasks on track
Time Commitment: 5 hours per week
Role Overview:
Acts as a bridge between families, learners with special accommodations, and tutors to ensure inclusive and effective learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with parents and tutors of IEP learners
Track learner progress and needs
Share resources and support strategies with tutors
Time Commitment: 5 to 7 hours per week (varies by event)
Can be stacked with other leadership roles
Role Overview:
Plans and executes key program events that build community and celebrate progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan Tutor Orientation, Parent Orientation, and Celebration Party
Coordinate logistics, communication, and schedules
Ensure events run smoothly and meet program goals
Time Commitment: 4 to 6 hours per week
Role Overview:
Facilitates weekly storytelling and reflection sessions to help tutors share experiences, learn from one another, and build community.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and host storytelling sessions
Capture and share key takeaways and best practices
Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among tutors
Time Commitment:
Initial setup: 6 to 8 hours per week
During program: 2 hours per week
Role Overview:
Manages physical and digital tutoring resources to ensure tutors and learners are fully equipped.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory and organize materials such as worksheets, headphones, laptops, and IXL access
Track distribution and returns of resources
Maintain organized tutoring material bins
Time Commitment: 3 to 5 hours per week
Role Overview:
Documents the story of the program by tracking volunteer hours, capturing milestones, and creating a final summary of impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Track volunteer hours
Document key moments, successes, and milestones
Compile an end of program summary and portfolio
Time Commitment: 3 to 5 hours per event/week
Role Overview:
Captures photos and visual content to highlight the program experience and support storytelling efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Take photos at tutoring sessions and events
Share visuals with leadership and Kiwanis partners
Support end of program documentation
